Keyes to Freedom was founded by San Diego high school student, Sofia Keyes. When Sofia first learned that millions of men, women, and children around the world are enslaved and denied basic human rights, she was shocked and horrified. But she was also inspired to do something. Angry that so few people talk about the issue at hand, she wanted to create a visible symbol for people around the world to empathize with victims and raise funds for the organizations dedicated to stopping the exploitation of these people. From this idea Keyes to Freedom was born.

Sofia Keyes is the vision behind Keyes to Freedom. Sofia learned from a very early age that changing the world requires concrete action. She has never let being told that she is too young or too inexperienced stop her from making an impact in her community. Sofia applied her interest in fashion and philanthropy to create a jewelry line that supports non-profit organizations dedicated to eradicating this modern form of slavery. Her goal is to inspire others to take action, raise awareness, and free her fellow enslaved global citizens from bondage. |
